Terms of Service

These terms apply between Turkishbase ("we", "us") and the people and organisations ("you", "users") who use turkishbase.com and the Turkishbase apps ("Turkishbase", the "platform"). By creating an account or continuing to use the platform you accept these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Cancellation and Refund Policy.

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Turkishbase.
• Use your real name and accurate details on your profile. Each person may hold one personal account.
• Anyone creating an organisation profile confirms they are authorised to act for that organisation.
• You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address. You are responsible for keeping that email account secure.

Turkishbase is a marketplace that connects people and organisations who need something done locally in a city ("task owners") with community members who live there ("taskers").

The scope, budget and way a task is carried out are agreed between the task owner and the tasker. Turkishbase is not a party to that agreement. Taskers are independent individuals, not employees or agents of Turkishbase, and are responsible for any tax and legal obligations arising from their earnings.

• Task descriptions must be accurate and complete: what needs doing, where, by when and for what budget.
• Taskers either accept the budget or make their own offer. The task owner decides who gets the task.
• When the task owner accepts an offer by paying for it, the task is assigned to the tasker on the terms in the task description.
• The tasker delivers the work through the platform. The task is complete when the task owner approves the delivery.

Tasks that are illegal, endanger anyone's safety, involve buying or carrying prohibited or restricted goods, breach local law or are misleading may not be posted. We may remove such tasks and the accounts behind them without notice.

Payments on Turkishbase are processed by Stripe, a licensed payment provider. Your card details are never stored on Turkishbase's servers.

• A task owner accepts an offer by paying the offer amount plus Turkishbase's service fee. The service fee is shown separately at checkout; the tasker receives the full amount they offered.
• The payment is held until the task is complete. The offer amount is then added to the tasker's Turkishbase wallet and becomes available to withdraw after a short holding period shown on the wallet page.
• To withdraw, taskers must complete identity and bank account verification with Stripe. Withdrawal requests are reviewed and then transferred to the tasker's Stripe account, and Stripe pays the money out to their bank. Withdrawals are available to bank accounts in supported countries (the United Kingdom, many European countries, Switzerland, the United States and Canada).
• Moving payment for a task found on Turkishbase off the platform is not allowed. We cannot offer refunds or dispute support for payments made outside Turkishbase.

Payment processing services for taskers on Turkishbase are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service (collectively, the "Stripe Services Agreement"). By agreeing to these terms or continuing to operate as a tasker on Turkishbase, you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as the same may be modified by Stripe from time to time. As a condition of Turkishbase enabling payment processing services through Stripe, you agree to provide Turkishbase accurate and complete information about you and your business, and you authorise Turkishbase to share it and transaction information related to your use of the payment processing services provided by Stripe.

Cancellations, refunds and disputes after delivery are handled under our Cancellation and Refund Policy.

Your profile, tasks, posts and reviews remain yours. You give us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to show them on the platform and to use them to promote Turkishbase. The licence ends when you delete the content.

Reviews must reflect a genuine experience. We may remove fake, traded or threatening reviews.

• Impersonating someone or creating a fake organisation profile
• Harassment, hate speech, discrimination or threats
• Spam, unsolicited advertising and bulk messaging
• Scraping the platform without permission or trying to get around its security
• Fraud, money laundering or transactions that breach sanctions

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. You can close your account at any time; any task in progress must first be completed or cancelled. You can ask us to close your account from the contact page.

Turkishbase is provided as is. We do not guarantee the outcome of tasks, what users say about themselves, or the quality of goods bought during a task. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability for any task is limited to the service fee paid to us for that task. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We may update these terms. We will announce significant changes by email or in-app notice before they take effect. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the law of the country where the company operating Turkishbase is registered. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in.
