What personal data Turkishbase collects, why we use it, who we share it with, and your rights over it.

Last updated: 8 October 2026

1. Who is responsible for your data

The controller of personal data processed on Turkishbase is Turkishbase. For any privacy question, email support@turkishbase.com.

2. Data we collect

  • Account: your email address and sign-in records (date, IP address, browser details).
  • Profile: your name, headline, where you are based, the cities you have joined, your bio and skills.
  • Organisations: name, sector, headquarters and description, and the people acting for the organisation.
  • Using the platform: tasks you post, offers you make, delivery notes, community posts, event RSVPs, reviews, messages and message requests, members you block, reports you send and notification preferences.
  • Payments and wallet: payment amounts, service fees, wallet activity, withdrawal requests and the verification status of your Stripe account. Card and bank details are collected directly by Stripe; we never see or store them. Identity verification for taskers is also carried out by Stripe.
  • Analytics: only if you accept cookies, usage statistics from Google Analytics such as pages visited and device details.

3. Why we use your data

  • To create your account, let you sign in and provide the platform (performance of a contract)
  • To run tasks, offers, payments and refunds (performance of a contract)
  • To send email notifications about tasks, offers and messages (performance of a contract; you can turn them off in your preferences)
  • To prevent fraud, keep the platform secure and investigate rule breaches (legitimate interests)
  • To meet accounting, tax and other legal obligations (legal obligation)
  • To analyse usage so we can improve the platform (consent)

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

4. What is public

Turkishbase is a community platform. Your profile (name, headline, cities, bio, skills), organisation profiles, published tasks and reviews can be seen by anyone and may appear in search engines. Your messages, delivery notes, email address and payment details are not public.

5. Who we share data with

We share data only with service providers we need to run Turkishbase, who are bound by data protection obligations:

  • Supabase: database, authentication and file storage
  • Stripe: payment processing, tasker identity verification and payouts (Stripe Privacy Policy)
  • Brevo: email notifications
  • Google Analytics: usage statistics, only with your consent

Within a task, we share what the other party needs to carry it out (your profile and messages). When a conversation is reported, the Turkishbase team may review its messages. We may also share data with authorities where the law requires it.

6. International transfers

Our service providers may process data outside your country, for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom or the United States. These transfers are protected by legal safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

7. How long we keep data

We keep your data while your account is open. When you close your account, your profile and content are deleted or anonymised within 30 days. Payment and invoice records are kept for the legally required period (usually 6 to 10 years for accounting records).

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time. Send requests to support@turkishbase.com; we reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies to sign you in and keep your session open. Google Analytics cookies load only if you accept them in the cookie notice. We do not use advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time with the "Çerez tercihleri" (cookie preferences) link at the bottom of every page.

10. Children

Turkishbase is not meant for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. We will announce significant changes by email or in-app notice.
